As a small, independent business, we partner with an expert family owned roaster who crafts each batch with care. Our process emphasizes quality over speed, ensuring every order meets our standards while respecting our team's work-life balance. Please note that we do not operate on weekends or major holidays, allowing our employees to recharge and maintain the passion that goes into every roast.
Order Processing and Preparation
- Roasting Time: Our partner roast coffee in small batches, often right after your order is placed to maximize freshness. This typically takes 1-3 business days to prepare your order for shipping.
- Shipping Timeline: Once roasted, your order will ship within 3-5 business days, depending on current demand and volume. During peak seasons (like holidays or special promotions), this may lean toward the longer end of the range.
- Weekend Orders: Any orders placed on Saturday, Sunday, or holidays will be processed on the next business day. We appreciate your patience as we prioritize sustainable practices over rushed service.
Shipping Methods and Costs
- We ship via reliable carriers like USPS, UPS, or FedEx, depending on your location and order size. Shipping options and rates are calculated at checkout based on your address:
- Standard Shipping: Free for orders over $85, otherwise, starts at $3.99.
- International Shipping: We do not ship internationally mainly because we want our customers to receive their coffee at its peak freshness.

Returns and Exchanges Policy
Coffee is a perishable food product, and for health and safety reasons, we do not accept returns or exchanges on opened or used items. However, we're committed to making things right if something goes wrong on our end. After all, we're human, and mistakes can happen!
If You Receive the Wrong Item
- Contact Us Promptly: If your order arrives incorrect (e.g., wrong roast, blend, or quantity), please email us at customersupport@mentalbeancoffee.com within 7 days of delivery. Include:
- Your order number.
- A clear photo of the incorrect item(s) and packaging.
- Our Resolution: We'll review your claim quickly and, if approved, ship the correct items at no extra cost to you. In rare cases, we may offer a full refund instead.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your coffee arrives damaged (e.g., due to shipping mishaps), follow the same process above. We'll replace it free of charge or issue a refund—whichever you prefer.
Non-Returnable Items
- All sales are final for properly fulfilled orders, including custom blends or subscription items.
- We cannot accept returns for buyer's remorse, taste preferences, or items affected by improper storage (e.g., exposure to heat or moisture).
